Center Channel Question

Scott,

Not necessarily better…or worse for that matter. When you have an identical speaker in all locations you get a certain tightness to the sound by timbre matching all the drivers exactly. While you`re not changing too much with the center channel being different, you’d hear the difference if you were to do a listening experiment. It`s very much a small difference to most folks, but to some it`s this magic sensation when they hear the timbre matching work.

On the other hand, if you’re not too picky about most of your music or TV and the JACC5A would look better under or over your theater wide type TV, then I would worry about it.

> In looking through your FAQ and blogs I see a number of recommendations for the 5 JA-I6A theater kit for a surround sound system. Would a system consisting of 4 of these in the corners and 1 JACC5A for the center speaker offer a better solution?
